The International Process Intensification Conference (IPIC) is a global event to discuss and drive the future of chemical and industrial processing.
Since its creation in 2017, IPIC has established itself as a venue to showcase innovations to boost efficiency and sustainability in process engineering.
Process Intensification (PI) has been shaping up in the recent years as a transformative approach in chemical and process engineering that aims to make processes more efficient, sustainable, and compact. It involves redesigning unit operations to: Reduce energy consumption, minimize equipment size, enhance safety, lower capital and operating costs and much more.
IPIC4 will be hosted at the Delta Hotel in Montreal, Canada, from June 21st-25th, 2026. Montreal, one of the most vibrant cities in North America, offers a dynamic blend of culture, innovation, and charm. In addition to an exciting program of lectures and networking opportunities, we invite you to explore Montreal’s rich history, stunning architecture, lively atmosphere, and world-class restaurants.

The conference format will be exclusively in person. The preliminary program will be made available on the website as soon as it is ready. It includes a detailed list of sessions, workshops, keynote speakers, and networking events. Check the schedule regularly for updates and changes.
Yes, there are hotels and accommodations close to the conference venue. However, we recommend staying at the Delta Hotel, which is the conference venue as it is convenient and because of the advantageous rates we have secured in this high quality, staple hotel.

While there are several options for lunch around the hotel, we recommend purchasing your ticket(s) for the lunch at the hotel ahead to keep your schedule smooth and to avoid the midday rush. We will include the option to buy them during the registration, and later on in the "Venue" tab.
Yes, you can submit a presentation proposal during the open call for speakers, by
October 15th 2025. Visit the 'Submission' page on the website, and follow the submission guidelines provided.
Yes, a baby-sitting service will be present on site. We invite you to communicate with us if you need it.
Yes. IPIC4 is registered with IRCC. During the registration, you will be asked if you need a supporting letter. We will give priority to those applications so you can apply for your visa rapidly.
