About the Event
Hosted for the first time in Calgary, December 15-18, 2025, ArcticNet's Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM2025) is a prime opportunity to participate in an Arctic and northern research gathering, pushing the boundaries of our understanding of the North, and contributing to a solid foundation of knowledge to effectively address the Arctic issues of today.
Interdisciplinary cooperation and knowledge sharing, across the Arctic and the North, as well as innovative and evidence-based research, are key in achieving climate change adaptation and proposing sound mitigation strategies. As a hub for Arctic research in Canada, the ASM2025 brings together a broad range of research in and about the Arctic and northern regions of Canada and the world. The ASM2025 advances our collective understanding with an inclusive view of the North spanning from Inuit Nunangat, across the Canadian territories and provinces, circumpolar Arctic regions, and beyond.

The Venue
The Calgary TELUS Convention Centre (CTCC) is located in the heart of downtown Calgary and on Treaty 7. This location makes the CTCC an integral part of the city’s diverse and cultural richness just steps away from countless dining, shopping, theatres, and entertainment options. The CTCC is a member of the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI), Alberta Living Wage Employer, and Green Key Certified.

Event Code of Conduct
Your registration for or attendance at any ArcticNet event or online event indicates your agreement to abide by this policy and its terms.
We’d like to gently remind presenters of the importance of sharing and discussing research results with communities involved before presenting them at the conference. We also encourage you to highlight the “so what” of your research and acknowledge how and with whom your project was developed. These actions can build trust and strengthen reciprocity in northern research.
LOOP Reporting Tool
ArcticNet is partnering with LOOP by Inclusive Kind to create an even more inclusive and supportive environment for all attendees.
At ArcticNet, we understand the importance of fostering a space where everyone feels respected and heard. That's why we've brought LOOP to the conference—a confidential service that allows participants to report experiences related to exclusion, unfair treatment, and inequity.
What is LOOP by Inclusive Kind?
LOOP is a confidential reporting tool, and it provides a simple and secure way for anyone attending the conference to report instances of exclusion, unfair treatment, non-inclusion, or inequity—whether subtle microaggressions or more overt forms of discrimination. Rather than focusing on individual cases, LOOP gathers valuable insights to inform systemic change for this and future events.
Why LOOP at ArcticNet’s Arctic Change Conference?
ArcticNet is committed to creating a diverse and welcoming space for all attendees. By offering LOOP at the conference, we are providing an additional layer of support, allowing participants to share their experiences in a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental way.
LOOP will also provide a quiet, space for attendees to visit, reflect, and share their thoughts. Whether your concerns relate to exclusion, unfair treatment, inclusion, or equity, LOOP is here to listen.
Visit LOOP at the Conference
LOOP will be available throughout the event, offering a quiet, safe space where you can visit at any time to share your experiences. You can also access LOOP directly by clicking below.
Thank you to this year's sponsors!
