Program Title: Palliative Care Education Program Session Title: Literature Review Presenter: Claire Poulin, MS3, HBSc Year 3 Medical Student - Class of 2026 Session Description: This session will provide an insightful review of recent literature on three critical topics in palliative care, aimed at improving care for underserved and marginalized populations, as well as fostering community-driven capacity-building initiatives. The session will feature discussions on the latest research, evidence-based practices, and innovative approaches. This session will offer valuable insights into providing equitable, culturally competent, and compassionate care to diverse and vulnerable populations, while exploring the impact of innovative, community-based initiatives in strengthening palliative care delivery. Learning Objectives: At the end of this session participants will be able to: 1. Discuss recent Palliative Care literature that challenges trends in practice 2. Summarize practice changes supported by evidence 3.
