    Program Title: Sault Area Hospital - Emergency Medicine Rounds Session Title: Updates in induction, intubation, and other airway emergencies. Presenter: Dr. Kirk Johns Session Description: We would like to invite you to attend our monthly Emergency Department Rounds. The goal is to provide an opportunity to achieve more understanding about some of the common/ interesting emergency medicine topics. Learning rounds will be monthly and open to all staff including ED staff, medical students and rotating residents, SSM AMA faculty and those with an interest in emergency medicine. The rounds will be the first Wednesday of every month at noon. It will be about an hour and include didactic presentation(s) and Q & A period. Learning Objectives: 1. Understand the role that medication choice and dose influence the risk of postinduction intubation. 2. Familiarize ourselves with newer recommendations regarding airway management in C spine injuries. 3. Appreciate the differences and roles of NIPPV versus HFNC. 4.
